Chris Carmen  /   May 8, 2017

Please help me in congratulating my friends, Will Wood, and his team, for their successful grand opening on May 3, 2017, with the newest theater in Hamilton County: The Cat (Carmel Apprentice Theater).

The new quirky venue hosted dozens of community and business members at the event and was even privy to a visit by Mayor Jim Brainard who offered his enthusiastic support and introduction of Wood and his colleagues. Guests were even treated to three sneak peak performances of upcoming shows from the Companies already connected to the theater.

The Cat is a 150-seat theatre sandwiched between the Carmel Arts District and the soon-to-be-built Monon Boulevard, at 254 1st Ave SW, Carmel, IN 46032. The Cat’s vision is to be the “Off-Off-Broadway” of Carmel Indiana, giving the artists of Carmel a local, welcoming, and affordable place to play. The Cat offers residency for theatre companies and is available for artistic events, classes, recitals and private events. The Cat provides production and rehearsal space at an affordable cost in an effort to support the expansion of the Carmel Arts District.

CARMEN is proud to be the sponsor of this exceptional venue that gives local artists a welcoming, and affordable place to perform in Carmel Arts & Design District, while supporting the growth and accessibility of the local arts community.

Welcome to the neighborhood!
